It is interesting that whilst the floods received a fair amount of coverage initially, interest waned quickly, despite the fact that the floods themselves lasted several weeks and their impacts are still being felt.

Below are links to some Youtube videos taken by individuals at Augrabies Falls, some 60kms downstream of Eksteenskuil. These speak for themselves! The first video link shows the Falls during a more typical period of low flow in October 2010. The contrast with 3 months later is striking.
